Charlie Mahggls suffered a surfing injury and was told by his regular physician that he would have to give up his favorite sport. Charlie knew of professional athletes who had recovered fully after similar injuries. Unwilling to give up surfing, Charlie Mahggls turned his attention to sport’s medicine. He assembled a team of health and sport experts who, over the next year, helped him regain and even exceed his former athletic prowess. He next tasked the team with creating a model clinic that made state-of-the-art sport’s medicine available to amateur athletes like himself. Using the model, Charlie established Anti-Gravity Sports Medicine Group and took it nationwide. The
Problems Soon
after establishing the Anti- Gravity Sports Medicine Group, the number of
participating doctors increased from five to over 1,000.
The manual process of typing each individual new doctor’s ID card, then
sending it and the directory of participating doctors to patients was time and
labor intensive. In addition, those out in the field in charge of recruiting new
members were constantly requesting sample supplies to be mailed out. When
a member called to request a replacement membership card and/or directory, the
request had to be typed up and forwarded to the Anti-Gravity headquarters.
Members were complaining that they had to wait as much as 3 to 4 weeks. To make
matters worse, the replacement cards were often returned due to an address
error, making it necessary to correct the address and resend the package.
Our Unique and Rapidly Implemented Solutions An
Internet-based system, utilizing our unique modules: StatementViewTM,
NetFillTM and NetQueryTM was developed to solve 21st
Century Sports Medicine Group’s problems. Members
get their initial membership cards and directories or replacements in less than
a week via NetFill. Now, Anti-Gravity sends their database to us where it is
postal processed for mailing discounts, then the welcome letter and membership
cards are printed, inserted with the directories, and mailed. The data is also
posted to the Internet via StatementView so that Anti-Gravity’s customer
service representatives can see when each packet was mailed and view the actual
card to verify the information printed on it. If a member requests a replacement
card the representative can either choose to print it locally and mail it
themselves or they can click a button to send the order to us where it will be
printed and mailed the following business day. With NetQuery, Anti-Gravity can access reports on new member sign-ups and the dates the membership packages were sent.
