    Charlie is always baffled by the phrase: Shop till you drop.  Shopping invigorates him and he’s never too tired to seek one more bargain.  When warehouse clubs came into vogue in the 1980s, Charlie was eager to enter the market.

Sandcastle Wholesale Warehouses are the first stop for families, small businesses and organizations for all of their grocery and supply needs.  It is also the only outlet of its kind to have its own surf shop.

The Problem

As Sandcastle Wholesale memberships grew, the company looked for ways to improve cash flow and customer service.

The original system was set up for monthly mailings of member’s annual renewal invoices.  To pay the invoice, the members tore off the remittance portion and mailed it back with a check in the provided envelope.  Or, they made their payments at Sandcastle Wholesale locations.  Since most of the division’s profits come from membership fees, Sandcastle needed a method to easily renew memberships and speed payments.

Sandcastle also wanted an easy way to search their member records online.

 Our Unique and Rapidly Implemented Solutions

Sandcastle members can now choose to receive their renewal statements online via our StatementVIEW™ service.  Electronic inserts are attached to the emailed invoices, which allows Sandcastle Wholesale to promote new products and vendors.  In addition, the member can instantly link to online ordering or to the M-Sandcastle.com website for online shopping, which has greatly improved sales at the site.

This system has also allowed Sandcastle Wholesale to vastly improve its customer service.  In the past, if a customer complained of not receiving a renewal statement, the customer service representative would enter a request to the Accounting Department to send a new one.  This was cumbersome, costly, time consuming and slow.

With the new system, the representative just enters the member’s name or account number into their PC to call up the image of the statement.  With a single click, they can e-mail or fax a copy of the statement directly to the customer, or print a copy locally for mailing.

Members who receive their renewals by email can pay immediately online via our NetPay™ product using a credit card, debit card, or virtual check.  Not only has payment lag time improved, but Sandcastle Wholesale saves hundreds of thousands of dollars by eliminating first class postage, paper, envelopes, printing, and mailing charges.

Sandcastle customer service was also vastly improved with the introduction of NetQuery™.  Company representatives can search for a specific customer's statement online using search criteria such as member name, account number, membership level, date of last payment, etc.  Customer service loves its ease of use and the members are happy to have their questions answered quickly.
